It is Derby week and Thoroughbreds reign but don’t forget about the adoptable do
Oh yeah it is Derby week and the Thoroughbreds reign but sadly so many dogs at Louisville Metro Animal Services are sitting on death row simply because of the severe overcrowding at the shelter. Foster families or adopters desperately needed.
This is Kentucky Derby week and the thoroughbred horses are in the spotlight but we don’t want you to forget about all the adoptable dogs at Louisville Metro Animal Services looking for homes

Pegasus Parade an annual treat for the kids
The annual Pegasus Parade is "the Derby" of KDF events for kids. It will march down Broadway from Campbell to 9th St. at 5:00 pm.
Let's face it: Derby is an adult celebration.
