13 top ten hits on the country music charts, winner of the Country Music Awards’ Female Vocalist of the Year, and one of the country stars you grew up listening to.

Remember Shake the Sugar Tree? Pam Tillis. Maybe it was Memphis? Pam Tillis. Mi Vida Loca? Yep. Her again.

But Pam’s career didn’t end when you graduated from high school. Tillis has continued to release CDs, most recently in 2007 when she released Rhinestoned, the first under her own independent record label.

Singer/Songwriter Pam Tillis brings her talent to the stage in An Acoustic Evening with Pam Tillis this Friday at the Kentucky Center’s Bomhard Theater.

It’s acoustic. That means no hiding behind a six-piece band. No special audio effects to cover up pitchy voices or out of tune instruments.  Just Pam, her guitar, and two other vocalists with theirs.  That’s it.
Many singers don’t even attempt such concerts. Why? Because in order to be successful in an acoustic setting, you actually have to have talent. A lot of it.

Pam Tillis has what it takes.

An Acoustic Evening with Pam Tillis is this Friday, January 20, at 8pm. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased through the Kentucky Center box office online or by calling 584-7777.
