Actors Theatre and Theater of War Productions will combine for a staged reading of Sophocies's Ajax tonight.

Staged readings of Ajax will go on tonight at 7 p.m. as well as Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Pamela Brown Auditorium at Actors Theatre.  The facility is located in downtown Louisville at 316 West Main Street.

Both shows, which will take around two hours, are free to attend, but tickets are required.  Tickets can be obtained by calling the Actors Theatre box office at 502-584-1205.

The Sophocies-created Ajax is a Greek tragedy featuring the title character, a warrior in between the Illiad and the Trojan War.  Its themes will then transition into the panel discussion with members from the military community.

The goal of the program, according to the Actors Theatre website, is to present a better understanding for all audiences of war's impact on people, families, and communities.

More information on Ajax and Theater of War can be found at the Actors Theatre or Theater of War websites.
