a unique opportunity for Louisville residents to engage on national issue
AmericaSpeaks: Our Budget, Our Economy will engage the American public in an unprecedented national discussion about our federal budget. On Saturday, June 26 in 19 cities, AmericaSpeaks will host 21st Century Town Meetings reflecting the political, socio-economic, and ethnic diversity of the United States. Participants will weigh in on the different options for putting our country back on a sustainable path. Louisville is one of nineteen primary sites for this discussion. Join Americans at meeting halls across the country linked together by live video and the Internet to let them know what we think. The National Town Meeting is our chance to learn about the issues, find common ground, and present our priorities to leaders in Washington. The Louisville meeting will be hosted by Kentucky Youth Advocates, Metro United Way, Making Connections, Greater Louisville Inc. and a growing list of partners.
