Chris Burke, the Louisville native who electrified the Houston Astros in the 2005 National League Division Series with an unbelievable home run in the BOTTOM OF THE 18TH INNING (!) has been signed to a minor league deal by the Reds in an otherwise quiet off season for the team. The St. X graduate is making his latest move after stints in Texas, Houston, Arizona, San Diego, and Atlanta. He's most likely to play the role of utility journeyman due to his experience at playing most positions on the field, save for pitcher and catcher.
