Dance with the undead this Friday at Zombie Fest [Geek Life]



Are you ready to dance with the undead? Louisville's largest zombie party will let you do just that. Shawna The Dead presents the first annual ZombieFest at Headliners Music Hall on Friday, July 1, 2011. Doors open at 6 p.m. with non-stop action until 2 a.m. 
The extensive list of scheduled entertainment includes Angels on Acid, Espermachine, Absence of Faith, Guano Loco, LifeLink, and Sonik Foundry with DJ Coppertop & Count Grozny spinning music between band sets. I will be making a brief appearance with my dancing zombies with an excerpt from my Doomsday Lover show.
There will also be a dark art show featuring the works of Jeff Gaither, Abby Brechner, P.R. Thompson, Zombie Gurl Painting, Starvin' Artist, and many more. Vendors include everything from Dark Arts jewelry to T-shirts and SpookyGrrrl soaps all the way from Cleveland, OH.
There will also be some burlesque thrown into the mix with performances by The Pink ladies, Cirque Airotic, Rebel Riot Revue, Hot DAMN! and there will be a kissing booth set up by the Va Va Vixens.  A plethora of raffles and giveaways will be on hand.
Arrive dressed to kill in your best Zombie attire or come as a victim for the costume contest!! A bloody T-shirt contest sponsored by Zombie City rounds out the bill. Plan to get your money's worth as proceeds from this event benefit Pillows for a Cure and Breast Cancer Awareness. Tickets are available at Ear-X-Tacy,, and are $10 in advance or $15 day of show.
