On Saturday, November 7 at 8pm in Kentucky Center’s Whitney Hall, the Louisville Orchestra presents the first of its 2009-10 BB&T Strings Attached concerts –Dashboard Confessional.  Tickets, for what’s sure to be a sold out event, are available to the public starting May 29. Alternative rockers from Boca Raton, Dashboard Confessional take a step away from their college tour to join the Louisville Orchestra for one night only.  This will be the band’s first experience performing with full orchestration. Dashboard's third album, 2003's A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar, and their 2006 CD, Dusk and Summer, went gold shortly after their respective releases and earned the band’s front man, Chris Carrabba, the respect of U2, who personally asked the band to join them on a 2005 North American tour. The 2007 release of The Shade of Poison Trees made Dashboard Confessional a household name in colleges and on radio stations around the country. They also covered Men at Work’s “Overkill” on the 2009 Before You Were Punk compilation. Most recently, Dashboard Confessional has had a heavy tour schedule and is working on its seventh album.
