Day 10 World Equestrian Games preview [Sports]
There are 15 days of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, and in addition to the equestrian competitions there are activities, entertainment opportunities and attractions. Louisville.com will be identifying the best of what the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games identifies as the Daily Must-Sees. To enjoy these non-competition activities you can get a Grounds Pass for $25 each day. Grounds Pass tickets allow entry to the games for the selected day of purchase but they do not grant access to competition venues or competition venue seating. You will need to purchase separate tickets for these events. And please verify the latest starting times at alltechfeigames.com.
Day 10, Oct 4: After an exciting weekend of cross-country and stadium jumping it’s on to the jumping world championship. Beginning in the Outdoor Stadium at 9 a.m. the day starts with part one of the speed competition. In this event horse and rider are tested against the clock over an obstacle course. Part two of this competition begins at 2:30 p.m. Separate tickets for both morning and afternoon are still available and start at $42 for each session.
Do you have a grounds pass but don’t feel like spending the $42 for a seat in the stadium? Instead find the warm-up ring and watch these world-class horses and riders prepare for competition. You will get a close view of the horses and, as several vendors in the Equine Village have televisions broadcasting the event live, you can head there to see your favorites compete. As there are several warm-up rings, be sure to ask one of the volunteers in the blue jackets which one the riders will use.
Get an up close glimpse of your favorite horses and riders at the warm-up ring.
