The festival and symposium, named “One of the Top 101 Things to Do in America” by SPIN Magazine, will be held July 25th – 27th on Louisville’s Riverfront Belvedere, and Forecastle founder and producer JK McKnight views the outreach as an essential component of the festival’s continuing growth.
"The goal of Forecastle is a complete Music.Art.Activism Midwest conference. With ten cities participating equally in the 2008 event, the spring tour offers us a chance to reach people on a grassroots level, raising awareness of one of the most unique, fastest-growing festivals in the country,” he said.
Forecastle will visit the following cities in April:
4/05 - Lexington, KY - Beaux Arts Ball
4/07 - Bloomington, IN - Okkervil River @ the Buskirk Chumley Theater
4/11 - Bloomington, IN - Little 500 Parties
4/18 - Nashville, TN - Rites of Spring
