Forget the Green Tea, Hillbilly Tea Moves into China

Local flavor has crossed the Pacific with the opening of Hillbilly Tea in Shanghai, China.  The Shanghai location will be known locally in China as 土包子茶酒馆 (Hillbilly Tea Tavern).  The Tavern will open March 30,2013 and is already booked solid for its first week of business.  The Shanghai grand opening will be celebrated in person by Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, Hillbilly owner Karter Louis, as well as other Hillbilly management.  Locally the celebration will ensue with the new Spring Menu being released as well as a proclamation from the mayor of March 30 being celebrated hence forth as Hillbilly Tea Day.  Look out for other changes from Hillbilly Tea including: 3 more locations to open, in house tea roasting in bourbon barrels, and some surprises not yet to be mentioned.
