Brothers from opposite ends of the spectrum reunite in Sam Shepard's True West, which opens at Actors Theatre tomorrow.

True West performances are to happen at various times from Nov. 13-Dec. 9.  All performanes will take place in the Bingham Theatre at Actors theatre, located at 316 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.

True West reunites two brothers in their mom's kitchen.  Austin, a well-educated young man, is trying to obtain a screenplay deal.  Lee, a con man and Austin's estranged brother, creates an idea of his own.  This idea leads to many arguments, challenges, and the discovery that the brothers may not really be so different.

Sam Shepard created True West, which Adam Rapp directed for Actors Theatre.

While on Broadway in 2000, True West was nominated for four Tony Awards, including best play.

During True West's run, Actors Theatre is also presenting A Christmas Story.  That production runs until Nov. 25.
