The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy opens at the Alley [Theater]

It’s been turned into a movie (2005), a book series (1979-1992), several DC Comic books (1990’s), a TV show (1981), and was even a video game for your old Commodore 64 (1984).
Now you can see it in its original state, as The Alley Theater stages four episodes of the original BBC radio plays of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
The show follows Arthur Dent and his alien friend Ford Prefect, a writer for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, a travel manual. The bumbling duo finds adventure as they fumble through the galaxy after Earth is destroyed.
The Guide opens this Thursday, November 3, at 7:30. For the special Opening Night Party, patrons coming in costume will receive half-price admission. Everyone is invited to stay after the show for music, dancing, and a costume contest.
Performances will continue through November 19. Tickets are $18 in advance; $20 day of show. Students, seniors and members of the military receive a $2 discount.
Tickets can be purchased online or reserved by phone at (502) 713-6178.
