Horse Profiling: The Secret to Motivating Equine Athletes is a new book, co-authored by Calvin L. Carter, that was just recently published that includes theories and methods explored by equine athlete psychology pioneer Kerry Thomas, whom he co-authored the book with. This book was featured in the April 2012 issue of Equus Magazine.
Horse Profiling goes into detail about how successful training protocols can be established by understanding how horses communicate. The book explains a unique way to analyze the psyche of the equine athlete, particularly competition horses where performance is a primary focus. The intention of this book is to enable equine athletes to perform at their best while being happy horses living happy lives.
Mr. Carter will be speaking about his book at the New Albany-Floyd County Library on Thursday, May 31, at 7-8 pm in the Strassweg Auditorium. Copies of the book will be available for sale. For more information please call the Library with any questions at (812) 949-3523.
