Each act shows a different stage of relationship between George Gibbs and Lucy Webb, including their meeting, falling in love, and tragedy. Among the show's features are minimal sets and props and a stage manager taking part in narration.

Jim Hesselman directed Our Town for IUS, and Thornton Wilder created the production.

Our Town is IUS's first show of its 2010-2011 season. More information on upcoming shows can be found in this article.
