IUS to present a Fantastick time [Theater]

The Fantasticks

Have a fantastic time by watching Indiana University, Southeast's production of The Fantasticks, which opens on Friday.
The Fantasticks performances will take place on Feb. 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 8 p.m. each night.  Matinees, meanwhile, will go on Feb. 12 and 19 at 2:30 p.m. each day.  All performances are to happen in the Robinson Theater at the Ogle Center, located on the IUS campus at 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany, IN.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $6 for students, and $6 for senior citizens.  Tickets can be purchased at the Ogle Center box office or by calling 812-941-2525.  More information on the show can also be found at the IUS theatre arts website.
In the musical The Fantasticks, two fathers look to make life a little more chaotic for Louisa and Matt, who have fallen in love with each other.  They do this by making a mock abduction.  The whole point is to help their children discover a deeper meaning of love.
Jim Hesselman directed the production, which Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt created.
Following The Fantasticks, IUS will present Waiting for Godot.  The Samuel Beckett-created production will go on in April.
