The Jewish Community Center of Louisville hosts a variety of sports camps each summer. This year campers can choose from soccer, volleyball, flag football, a multi-sport and a basketball camp. As in years past this JCC basketball camp will be led by hometown hero La Bradford Smith. Smith played at the University of Louisville (UofL) and professionally for the Washington Bullets and the Sacramento Kings. At UofL he started every game of his career and ranked among the leaders in nearly every UofL statistical category. Campers who participate in this camp will learn the fundamentals of basketball. Smith will teach ball handling, shooting, offensive/defensive drills and play games while sharing stories of his time on the court. Special guest speakers include Denny Crum, hall of fame former UofL coach, and Darrell Griffith, former UofL star who played in the NBA.

Camp runs June 22-26 from 9am to 3pm at the Jewish Community Center of Louisville. Campers will be split into two groups, ages 6-9 and ages 10-12. Fees are $225/ $150 for JCC Members. For more information or to receive a camp guide and registration form, call the camp office at (502) 238-2718 or visit our website at www.jccoflouisville.org.
