Turfway Park renews the Grade 2 Lane's End Stakes for the 39th time today A group of 10 three-year-olds will take to the gate at 5:12pm for a $500,000 purse with dreams of roses and glory to come on the first Saturday in May.
Among these Derby hopefuls are duo of Todd Pletcher-trained entries: Kentucky-bred favorite Connemara breaks from gate 1 with Russell Baze aboard, and Doubles Partner ridden by Christopher DeCarlo starts from gate 2.
"He liked the track at Turfway when he broke his maiden," said Pletcher of Connemara, "so this looks like a good spot for him. He has trained on dirt and turf, but synthetics seem to be his preferred surface."
