Learn to dance for Thrill the Ville

Thrill the Ville is a combination of dance classes, charity, and a giant Halloween party put on by Flash Bang Fundraising. Dance classes are being offered over the next month until October the 19th, when Thrill the Ville is hosting a giant Day of the Dead themed Halloween party. You don't have to take the dance classes to attend the party!

The dance classes are being held at several different places (Xsplosive Rhythm Dance Studio, Walden Theater, and UofL) and are happening nearly every day until October 19. There is a handy calendar on Thrill the Ville's website to show you when and where each class is happening. Registration is found here. You can learn to Charleston, Thriller. or some spicy salsa for $10 a class, or $100 for unlimited classes. This is seriously a bargain. Half the proceeds from the classes go to various local charities. You don't have to be an experienced dancer, or heck, a dancer at all to attend these basic classes.

On October 19, performing dancers will get in free to the Thrill the Ville Day of the Dead bash, which will include a Haunted Art Show from the Art Sanctuary, a Day of the Dead food contest, zombie and Day of the Dead makeup booths, live music from Billy Goat Strut Revue, a performance from the Va Va Vixens and much more. The bash is being held at the Art Sanctuary at 1433 South Shelby Street, and it will be family friendly from 4pm to 8pm and adults only from 8pm on. Admission is $20 for non-performers.
