The Gin Game

Gin rummy is like life.  Find out how in The Gin Game, now playing at Bunbury Theatre.

The Gin Game will take place on Feb. 10, 11, 15-18, and 22-25 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Matinee shows, meanwhile, are to go on Feb. 12, 19, and 16 at 2 p.m. each day.  All performances will happen at Bunbury Theatre, located in the Henry Clay building at 604 S. Third Street in Old Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $21 for general admission, $18 for seniors over the age of 62, $16 for students (must show ID), and $10 for children under 13 years old.  All tickets can be purchased at the door or by going online to the Bunbury Theatre website.

In The Gin Game, Weller Martin and Fonsia Dorsey engage in multiple games of gin runny.  They live in a run down nursing home, and they hate it.  The games of gin rummy, however, becomes a life metaphor as they reveal more intimate details about each other.

The Gin Game cast includes Matt Orme as Weller Martin and Liz Vissing as Fonsia Dorsey.  Juergen K. Tossman directed the production.

Following The Gin Game, Bunbury Theatre will present Southern Exposure.  The production will go on in April.
