Louisville, KY – The Louisville Bats will open their 2005 schedule at Louisville Slugger Field on Thursday, April 7 versus the Ottawa Lynx, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. It marks the first time since 2002 Louisville will open the season at home.

The Bats have 11 Saturday home games scheduled, including one on April 23, the date of Thunder over Louisville. Also this year, Louisville will once again play all Sunday home games during the months of June, July and August at 6:15 p.m.

The 2005 season will mark the sixth season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, as well as the sixth season of play at Louisville Slugger Field. Louisville finished the 2004 regular season with a 67-77 record, good for second place in the International League West Division, and led the league in attendance for the fifth consecutive year with 648,090 fans coming through the gates for a league leading average of 9,392 fans per game.
