Louisville consignment store hosts fashionable fundraiser

Margaret’s Consignment, a destination on Frankfort Avenue for nineteen years, will host a designer wear sale on Saturday, June 6th from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Clifton Center, located at 2117 Payne Street. The sale will feature women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as home interiors, and accessories. All items will be $10 and under, and proceeds will benefit United Hill Crescent Ministries. For more information, call Margaret’s at (502) 896-4706. “We’ve been collecting gently used designer clothing items and upscale home accessories for months, and we just don’t have the floor space to display everything at one time,” explains Margaret Browning, owner of Margaret’s Consignment. “So, we’ve decided to host this sale to clean out our inventory and help a very worthy local cause.” United Crescent Hill Ministries (UCHM), located at 150 South State Street, was formed in 1974 after a devastating tornado hit Louisville. Serving the neighborhoods of Crescent Hill, Clifton, and Clifton Heights, UCHM was established with one purpose in mind: helping fellow community members in need. UCHM grew significantly over the decades and currently works with the community to offer youth, senior, and emergency assistance programs.
