Louisville Rep's Fuddy Meers brings chaos to the MeX [Theater]

Fuddy Meers? What kind of name is that?

A slightly bizarre one. Apropos for the play which it names, opening at the MeX this Friday night.

Louisville Repertory Company’s production of the dark comedy Fuddy Meers is the latest installment in the company’s 2011-2012 season.

The story follows Claire, who suffers from a severe case of amnesia. So severe, in fact, that her husband Richard has to introduce himself and remind her about her life every morning when she wakes up.

Life continues with this daily trip down memory lane until one morning a man appears from under Claire’s bed. He tells her that he is taking her away; he is there to rescue her, and that Richard is out to kill her.

As the plot becomes more comically convoluted, Claire is thrust into puzzling circumstances as Richard and their troubled son attempt to rescue her.

Fuddy Meers opens this Friday, March 2 at 8pm, and runs through March 11. Tickets are $16 for all shows except Monday, March 5. Tickets for the March 5 show are $11.

All tickets can be purchased online, by calling 502-584-7777, or by using the Kentucky Center’s drive-through ticket service.  Seating at the MeX is general admission.
