Louisville restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner specials

Print Proof on Main 702 W. Main St. Nov. 26, 2-8 p.m. Roasted bourbon red turkey is just one of four Thanksgiving-inspired entrees on Proof on Main's special menu, which also includes some of its regular favorites. This Thanksgiving I'm thankful for Proof's delicious vodka and homemade tonic (the more I drink of them, the more thankful I become for the next one). View its menu here. Make reservations at OpenTable or by calling 502-217-6360. Churchill Downs 700 Central Ave. Nov. 26, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Gates open at 10 a.m. for the 12-race card with the first post (on the track, not at the buffet, tubby) at 11:30 a.m. I'd be thankful if Churchill's Thanksgiving menu included Barbaro burgers; I'd make a $5 wager that he would have been delicious. The buffet is $65 a person. View its menu here. Make reservations by calling 502-636-4400. Zen Garden Nov. 25, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. 2240 Frankfort Ave. Ok, it's on Thanksgiving Eve and not Thanksgiving proper, but free is free and less money spent on food is more money to spend Friday morning on orgasmic Muppets. Wednesday, at its ninth annual Thanksgiving Eve customer appreciation day, Zen Garden is serving free vegetarian meals all day, asking diners to pay what they can, with all proceeds being split among four charities.
