Meetup spotlight: Louisville Foodspotting [Food & Dining]

It is no secret that Louisville is a haven for foodies. Our restaurant scene thrives, and diners can easily find establishments serving just about any kind of food one can imagine. It is only natural, then, that on the increasingly-popular meetup.com we should see groups springing up to attract food-lovers.

The Louisville Foodspotting Meetup group, founded on August 30 of this year, was created to “allow foodies a chance to get together and try out new, old or different restaurants around town.” Past meetups have included dinner at Avalon, a gathering at Holy Grale, and an Asian food night at Sapporo. The next meetup occurs tomorrow, Saturday the 4th; this excursion is for lunch at Huber’s farm followed by tastings at the winery.

Membership dues are $5.00 annually, or $1.00 per meetup. A perk is also offered: members receive 10% off the Sunday brunch buffet at Edesia Gardens.
