Musical Romance and Juan Leyva rallied to win the $1,000,000 guaranteed Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint on the dirt at Churchill Downs, covering seven furlongs in 1:10.59.

"This filly's done everything I've asked of her and more. She's just awesome," said conditioner Bill Kaplan. "She's getting better and better and better."

"I don't care if she runs 13 or 14 time a year, she gets better with every shot," he said, adding, "This is it-- this is the pinnacle."

Joel Rosario aboard John Sadler's Switch placed by a head over the Todd Pletcher-trained Her Smile and John Velazquez.

Musical Romance paid $42.40, $15.60 and $8.60. Switch returned $4.80 and $3.40, and Her Smile paid $13.40 to show.
