One twisted tale at Bellarmine [Theater]

Do you remember those fairy tales or Disney-esque stories that told of happily ever after with the prince or princess?  Twisted Tale, which starts tonight at Bellarmine University, isn't one of them.

Twisted Tale performances will go on April 14, 15, and 17 at 7 p.m. No shows will take place during Thunder Over Louisville. The performances will occur at the Wyatt Center for the Arts, located on the Bellarmine University campus at 2001 Newburg Road.

Tickets for the show are $5 per person and can be purchased at the box office.  Only cash will be accepted. More information on the show can be found at the Bellarmine University website. Keep in mind that this show is strongly not recommended for kids.

Twisted Tale is essentially a classic fairy tale turned on its head, where lying, manipulation, and back stabbing rule the day. Among the characters are a clueless Cinderella, a wolf who actually has manners, a grumpy man, and a possible dead body.

Carlos Manuel created Twisted Tale, and Carlos Chavarria directed the production. Manuel, by the way, also has a play as part of Finnigan Production's Festival of Funky Fresh Fun.
