The People Yes

A legendary poet's work from the Great Depression is interpreted on the Hanover College stage this weekend.

The People, Yes will take place on Oct. 4, 5, and 6 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances are to happen at Parker Auditorium at Hanover College, located at 484 Ball Drive in Hanover, IN.

Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and over, and $5 for children. All tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Hanover College website.

The People, Yes is a Carl Sandberg poem brought to life on stage at Hanover College. The poem deals with Great Depression-era people, their struggles, and their willingness and desire to survive. Hanover College's live interpretation looks to expand on the poem's themes while embracing American culture and humanity's resilience through tough times.

Jim Stark directed the production for Hanover College.

Following The People, Yes, Hanover College's theatre arts department will present 70 Scenes of Halloween. That production begins Oct. 24.
