One-acts, 10-minute plays, full productions, and even a one-woman show are part of Bellarmine University's varied 2011-2012 theatre season.

During its season, Bellarmine will present Broadway Knights (October), See If I Can Find It (November), Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (Feb. 2012), Madthematics (March 2012), and Doin' Time (April 2012).  All performances will go on in the Wyatt Center for the Arts on Bellarminue's campus, located at 2001 Newburg Road in the Highlands.

Bellarmine opens its season with a music and theatre department combined production, Broadway Knights.  The Broadway revue will feature plenty of Broadway favorites, dancing, and a variety of voices.  The production will run in October with Carlos Chavarria directing and Timothy Glasscok providing musical direction.

A series of one-acts, See If I Can Find It, will follow in November.  Sam Shepard's dark comedy Action will deal with human's inability to connect with each other.  Reversed Transcription, meanwhile, comes from Angels in America writer Tony Kushner.  These plays will go on in November.

The year 2012 starts for Bellarmine with Five Women Wearing the Same Dress from Alan Ball.  The production finds five bridesmaids finding much in common despite earlier differences.  Five Women Wearing the Same Dress runs in February with Bethany Morse directing.

Madthematics will bring back the festival of 10-minute plays for Bellarmine.  Eight 10-minute plays centering on the subject on mathematics will take place during the evening, and audience members will have the ability to vote for their favorite.  The productions will take place in March.

Rounding out the 2011-2012 season will be Doin' Time: Through the Visiting Glass.  Ashley Lucas, in a one-woman show with Joseph Megel directing, brings about the impact from multiple perspectives on families when a loved one is jailed.  Doin' Time will be at Bellarmine in April.
