Although he's now been replaced by John Velazquez on Animal Kingdom in the Kentucky Derby later today, Robby Albarado returned to the track to take the Grade 1 Humana Distaff by 3 lengths over favored Hilda's Passion.

Sassy Image, trained by Dale Romans, circled the field and was six wide while slowly mowing down the field of seven. The 16-1 shot returned a nice $34.20 to win, $9.40 for place, and $4.80 to show. Hilda's Passion paid $2.60 and $2.20. Amen Hallelujah finished third and returned $3.00.

"I just want to thank Dale (Romans) for sticking with me. It's unfortunate I got taken off the horse in the Derby but that's horse racing, you know, it happens," said jockey Robby Albarado.

As keen handicappers were able to disseminate from her past performances, Sassy's Image likes the Churchill track. Dale Romans noted, "She loves it here; she loves Churchill. She just loves the surface. Robby (Albarado) rode her perfect."
