A Spectacular-thon for Brothers Grimm and Bellarmine

Bellarmine University

Sure, we've all heard at least one Brothers Grimm fairy tale (Snow White?  Cinderella?  Hansel and Gretel?).  However, starting tonight at Bellarmine University, hear all 209 tales...in a little under two hours.

The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon works somewhat like a roller coaster.  Strap in and hold on as two narrators and a handful of actors plot the course through all of the popular and not-so-popular Brothers Grimm fairy tales.  During the ride, plenty of comedy and possible audience participation is sure to take place.

Don Zolidis created the production, which George Halitzka directed for Bellarmine University.

The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon will take place on Feb. 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A matinee will run on Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.  All performances are to happen in the Blackbox Theatre at the Wyatt Center for the Performing Arts, located at Bellarmine University, 2001 Newburg Road in the Highlands.

Tickets for each show are $12 for general admission, $8 for students, and $8 for senior citizens.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or by going to the Bellarmine University theatre arts website.

Following Brothers Grimm, Bellarmine's theatre arts program STAGE will present An Evening of One Acts.  The productions will take place in March.
