The weather has been so warm and beautiful this winter that you may be reminded that Spring Break is near. DO NOT PANIC. We have the scoop on what to do with your kids so they don’t kill each other, or drive you crazy with complaints of “I’m bored!” and “There’s nothing to do!” Luckily there are many fun, entertaining and educational (shhhh, don’t tell the kids) Spring Break Camps offered around Louisville and Southern Indiana.

Animal Antics
Is your child crazy for animals? Why not “turn Spring Break into a wild and wonderful animal safari” for the kids! The Louisville Zoo’s Spring Break Camps are designed for kids 6-12*. Campers will be divided into groups base on age and will guide them through zoo walks, close-up learning with MetaZoo animals, and other themed activities and crafts.

Artistic Genius
Are you looking for the perfect outlet for the Drama King or Queen of the house? Camp Shakespeare is your answer! These camps are offered to children ages 11-15. Two different theater camp experiences are offered:
Playwriting Camp where prospective playwrights can explore theater, play theater games and create their own plays in an historical setting at Locust Grove.
Acting and Conflict Resolution where through interactive exercises and games students will explore Muhammad Ali’s core values of respect, understanding, peace and storytelling. The week will end in an invitation-only performance.
Louisville Visual Art Association
Do you have a budding Picasso or Ansel Adams on your hands? The Spring Camps at the Louisville Visual Art Association are your answer! Your children will sculpt masks, use indigo dye on fabric, draw, paint or even explore one of the oldest photographic processes known to man. They offer three different 1/2 day camps, divided among grade levels 4th-6th, 6th-8th and 9th - 12th.

Jewish Community Center of Louisville
If you are looking for an easy option for your kids to learn, grow and enjoy new experiences, the JCC of Louisville may be your answer! Campers will play, swim, participate in arts & crafts, sports activities and games. Camps are designed for kids in preschool-5th grades.
The YMCA (Earworm alert!) is one of the best know places around for keeping the entire family active. Their Spring Break Camp offers daily themes and activities including sports, arts & crafts, and field trips along with healthy snacks. Camps are open to kids in grades K-8.
Mad About Science
Location: Louisville Science Center, 727 West Main Street, Louisville
Dates: March 26-30 and April 9-13
Times: 8:30-11:30 a.m. 1/2 day and 9-4 p.m. Full day
Do you have a little scientist in the making? Then the Mad Science Kentucky Spring Into Science is perfect for little Mr. or Miss curiosity. During this week your child will “Get Crazy for Chemistry, Sink into Cells, discover sound, and learn the Science of Sports in this "Mad' week of Science! The camps are designed for children in grades 1-5.
Sports Enthusiasts
Does your child love to splash, bounce and tumble? The Spring Break Camps featuring swimming, Open Gym, and more are the answer for them! With a different theme added to each day, no two days will be the same. Camps are designed for kids ages 4 and up and are offered in both half, or full-day options.

Hoops Louisville
Does your child dream of being a Pro basketball player? Sign them up for Hoops Louisville's Five Star Basketball Camp. They'll receive training, instruction and competitive league play -- all of that and a basketball jersey. Hoops camp is designed for kids ages 7-17.

Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club
Does your child have a love for all things soccer? The Spring Break Camps at Mockingbird Valley will be the answer for them. Half days and full days are available for kids 3-9. Your kids will have fun while learning the basic skills necessary for them to move to the next level.

Cost: ranges for $25 for the youngest 1/2 single day to $230 to the oldest full-day program for the week.
