It’s quite a dramatic weekend in Louisville.
With no less than seven productions opening over the course of two days, there’s sure to be a little something for everyone.
For two performances only, the Kentucky Opera presents The Prodigal Son. Performances are this Thursday and Friday, October 4 and 5, at 7:30pm at the St. Francis Episcopal Church. Tickets are $20.
Also debuting Thursday is Looking for Lilith’s season opener, an all-female production of Much Ado About Nothing, being performed at The Alley Theater. Much Ado runs through October 13. Friday brings Reefer Madness: The Musical, produced by Wayward Actors Company, to the MeX at the Kentucky Center. The production is based on the 1936 film of the same name and runs through October 14. Tickets are $16 at the door.
The Louisville Ballet will perform Lady of the Camellias for three performances this weekend beginning Friday at 8pm at the Kentucky Center. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased online or by calling 800-775-7777.
LEO Reader’s Choice Award-winning Theatre  presents The Aliens, billed as an “unforgettable suckerpunch comedy that whispers to scream” at Actors Theatre October 5-13. Tickets are $15 and may be reserved by emailing email@example.com. All productions are at 8pm.
Till Undead Do Us Part is the eighth season opener for WhoDunnit Murder Mystery Theater, and runs every Friday and Saturday from October 5 through October 27. Tickets are $45.50 and include a full meal, show, tax and gratuity. Tickets may be reserved in advance by calling 502-426-7100.
Hardin County Playhouse in Elizabethtown presents the classic Arsenic and Old Lace this Friday through October 14th. Tickets are $15 for adults and may be purchased online or by calling 270-351-0577.
