Toyland, cruel reality, and Pandora this week [Theater]

Pandora Productions

An old toymaker's pleasant life and shop are interrupted by the cruel outside world in Gays in Toyland, the Pandora Productions original set to open on Dec. 1.
Gays in Toyland will take place on Dec. 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, and 11 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A matinee will go on at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.  All performances will happen at the Victor Jory Theatre inside Actors Theatre, located at 316 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $18 in advance and $20 day of show.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or on the Pandora Productions website.  More information on the show can also be found at the Pandora Productions website.
A Pandora original, Gays in Toyland features a toy shop and its old toymaker who works on repairing broken and neglected toys.  The toys take a life of their own, singing, dancing, and performing skits.  The serendipity of the toy shop is threatened after the outside world comes in, leaving the shop vandalized.
After Gays in Toyland, Pandora Productions will present the Drama Desk Award-winning The Temperamentals.  This production will run in March.  More information on Pandora Productions can be found at its website.
