Hear from someone who experienced the genocide in Rwanda
Carl Wilkens was the head of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency International in Rwanda, when he chose to be the only American to remain in Rwanda when the genocide began in 1994. More than 800,000 people were killed over the course of just 100 days. Mr. Wilkens’ efforts prevented the massacre of hundreds of children. He will be sharing his experience of day-to-day life in Rwanda during the genocide, and on the courage and resilience he witnessed in people facing horrendous choices in the midst of unimaginable slaughter.
