OLYMPIC SUMMER JUNE - AUGUST 2012
Join the Ali Center for an Olympic Summer! This summer, students of all ages will have the opportunity to follow Muhammad Ali’s Olympic journey from his Gold Medal win in 1960 to his famous appearance at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Activities include: mock Olympic Games, Olympic Poetry; Create your own Olympic Torches; Olympic Origami and Storytelling; Sports Nutrition and Olympic Athletes; and an Interactive, Wall-Sized Olympic Map. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to watch selective events live from the London Games in our Auditorium’s theater-sized screen. Curriculum-based student tours and nonprofit rates are available. Come to the Ali Center and discover your greatness within!

This June-August, the Muhammad Ali Center is challenging you to improve your health, mind, and community through:
3. Community Service
It’s easy to participate! This summer dedicate yourself to exercising, reading, and/or helping your community through service. Keep track of your hours on our “Record Sheets.” Complete between 15 and 50 hours in any one of the categories above. Turn in your hours on August 11 to receive your award. Medal winners will receive FREE admission to the Center for themselves and one adult on August 11.
Participants must return all forms in person to the Ali Center between 11:00 AM—1:00 PM on Saturday, August 11 to receive their medals. “Ali Award” winners’ schools will be notified of their achievement. In addition they will receive a certificate, an Ali Center backpack, and will be listed on the Ali Center website during the fall of 2012.
