Preview spring, Derby fashions
Get your Derby on at a preview of spring fashions in the second annual Pearls and Pumps event benefiting the women’s cancer program at Baptist Health. The event will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.
Walking the runway at The Olmsted will be local models showing off the latest from Louisville-area boutiques such as Serendipity, Clodhoppers, Rodeo Drive, and the Merci Boutique, along with The Carlisle Collection, Von Maur and Dillard’s. Fashion coordinator is the Jo Ross, a long-time local fashion consultant with a keen eye for trends. Looks at this first fashion show of the season will include Derby Day brunch, going to the track and a night out on the town.
Vendors at the event will include ReVive, Twisted Chocolat, Glass Beads by Fran Ferrell, Drinks at the Plaza (derby hats by Kathey Schickli), Moss Hill, Pass the Pearl, Two Chicks and many more.
While checking out spring styles, participants can nosh on hors d’oeuvres and sip the event’s signature cocktails.
You can also take a chance at winning a great prize, such as a trip to Orlando; trip to Laguna Beach, CA; technology package including iPad Mini; dining around Louisville and a stay at the Galt House; spa package including services by Corbett Cosmetic Surgery, manicure/pedicure, gift card to Z’s Salon and more.
All proceeds will go to the women’s cancer program, with a focus on education.
