Miller reaches 1000 points in his career at Kentucky

Many Kentucky fans in Louisville look forward to the annual game in Freedom Hall, sponsored by the University of Kentucky Alumni Association in Louisville.  The meeting between University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Kentucky brought fans out on a chilly evening in Louisville.  Darius Miller was the star of the evening as he joins 57 other Kentucky players to reach 1000 points in their Wildcat careers.

The first half left much to be desired from the Cats as UALR ran the floor and fought hard for every possession.  Anthony Davis led the Cats in scoring with 22, followed by Miller with 15. Jones stepped up his game with 10 on the night, and played more aggressively than in recent match-ups.

UALR owned the first half, but Kentucky came out screaming in the second.  UALR’s time had come as the Cats went on a campaign to shut down UALR’s shooting.  Coach Cal commented on the game, “if my guys think they can play like this in our tournament(SEC) and win, they cannot. Our tournament is tough and physical”

Kentucky will begin SEC Conference play Saturday in Rupp against South Carolina at 4 pm.  The meeting with the Gamecocks will set the tone for the more aggressive teams Kentucky will face on the road to a championship.
