Dave Matthews Band is awesome...enough said.
Dave Matthews Band headlined Sunday's HullabaLOU festival at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.  Dressed all in black, Dave Matthews himself exclaimed to the crowd, "I thought it would smell a little more like horse shit!" and then ripped in to "You might die trying".

Bon Jovi entertained the crowd Friday night at HullabaLOU in Churchill Downs.
Bon Jovi came, performed, and, at least for the first half, practically dominated the first night of the HullabaLOU festival at Churchill Downs.  Bon Jovi took to the stage and opened with Lost Highway, getting the fans up and out of their seats and singing along, at least on they hey hey parts.

While throngs of people were in the stands and infield, arguably the finest set at HullabaLOU was happening in the paddock Friday when Dan Tyminski joined The Travelin' McCourys for some bluegrass magic.
This was bluegrass royalty. Plain and simple. In the paddock of Churchill Downs, The Travelin' McCourys and Dan Tyminski performed a splendid 90-minute set Friday at HullabaLOU filled with little fanfare but plenty of musical virtuosity.

A quick glance around HullabaLOU Friday yielded fewer concert t-shirts than Forecastle, but on the bright side, we got some sage advice from Fred Schneider.
"And please don't take handfuls of diet pills." That's what I heard Fred Schneider of The B-52s tell the crowd before he briefly left the stage while Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson took over vocals duties on their hit Roam. I have no context to out that quote in, but it sure sounds like...
