Sunday afternoon, Miss America 2000 Heather French Henry and milliner Gabriel Amar teamed up at the former's showroom in the Highlands for a Derby hat party benefiting WHAS Crusade for Children.

Hats on the Avenue celebrates its fifth year in style
Wednesday evening was the next-to-last Hats on the Avenue show at New American restaurant Varanese, featuring Derby-ready and security-compliant ensembles from neighboring boutique The Secret - Boutique that loves to tell alongside live jazz music and half-price bottles of wine.

I've lusted after the titanic proportioned brims of the Christine A. Moore collections of years past. And while this year’s collection feels a bit stale, I have seen only a small portion of it in person. After many hours online searching for something unique, beautiful and affordable, however, I finally found it at Award Millinery Design.

These hats are this year's best of the best and worst of the worst. See which hats we thought deserved to Win, Place and Show.
BEST HAT WINNER We broke the rest of the hats into categories for biggest, smallest, and home grown infield goodness. This gorgeous, carefully made hat didn't fit into any of those categories. It wins for both beauty and originality. we love it so much we have both a front and back view.
