LED lighting... a bright idea for an energy efficient Louisville? "Lighting currently represents about 17.5% of all global electricity consumption. The U.S. alone accounts for approximately 20% of this amount at an annual cost of over $40 billion. What's Louisville doing to help?
LED lighting a bright idea? According to the Pike Research report, “Energy Efficient Lighting for Commercial Markets”, nearly half (46 percent) of the $4.4 billion commercial lighting business will be given over to LED lighting, by 2020.
