The Kentucky Derby this year made me wonder, "what jockeys have won the most in the history of the event?"
Still coming off the excitement of longshot horse, I’ll Have Another taking home the Derby crown this year I noted that in NBC’s national broadcast of the event they spoke to several of the jockeys in this year’s race that have won the penultimate horse race several times....

I believe the city that is trying to "keep weird" as so many bumper stickers I've seen say needs the related sports. A few of those "weird" sports, I'd like to suggest.

Matt Winn might have spent much of his sports related career in the background, however that doesn't minimize his contribution to Louisville sports.
In 1902 Churchill Downs was in financial dire straits, so much so that the Kentucky Derby could have ended. This calamity was avoided though in large part due to the work of local businessman Matt Winn.
