Louisville shows off a bit of genius with first annual Maker Faire
Louisville showed off a bit of creative genius at the first annual Mini Maker Faire during Nulu Fest. Robots, games, rides and activities kept visitors busy and inspired throughout the day.
 Louisville got to show off a bit of smarts and creativity Saturday, September 28 with the first annual Mini Maker Faire. "Makers" are folks who tinker, hack, and create.

According to IdeaFestival speaker Peter W. Singer, we are living through a robot revolution and within 25 years, there may be tens of thousands of robots that are 1 billion times more powerful than those already changing the face of war today, which brings up many powerful benefits, problems and ethical dilemmas.

Peter W. Singer will be offering a seminar on the future of war on Thursday at Idea Festival. He was named one of the top 100 Global Thinkers of 2009 and has an impressive collection of awards in addition to his three published books.
